Red Iron Oxide

Red Iron Oxide is a finely milled mineral pigment that provides a rich, earthy red tone with warm undertones and strong color payoff.

How to Use:

Adjust Color and Consistency: Red Iron Oxide needs to be blended with other pigments to create custom shades or to add warmth and depth to formulations. Adjust the amount used to control intensity—use smaller amounts for softer, muted reds and higher amounts for deeper, more opaque color. Gradually incorporate the pigment blend into your melted base while stirring continuously. Ensure the base is warm enough for smooth incorporation but not excessively hot, as high heat may affect heat-sensitive ingredients.

Blend Thoroughly: Make sure the pigment blend is evenly dispersed throughout the base to achieve a smooth, uniform finish. Any streaking or uneven color can be corrected through thorough mixing, shearing, or high-speed blending.
