Black Iron Oxide

Black Iron Oxide is a finely milled mineral pigment that delivers a deep, intense black tone and is commonly used to darken or add depth to other colors.

How to Use:

Adjust Color and Consistency: Black Iron Oxide needs to be blended with other pigments to deepen shades or create custom tones. Use very small amounts, as it is highly concentrated—low levels produce soft grey or muted shades, while higher levels result in rich, opaque color. Gradually incorporate the pigment blend into your melted base while stirring continuously. The base should be warm enough for smooth blending but not excessively hot, as excessive heat may impact heat-sensitive ingredients.

Blend Thoroughly: Ensure the pigment blend is evenly dispersed throughout the base for a uniform, streak-free finish. Any uneven distribution or streaking can be corrected through thorough mixing, shearing, or high-speed blending.
