Mica Lustre Satin

Mica Lustre Satin is a finely milled cosmetic-grade pigment that provides a soft, pearlescent shimmer with a satin-like finish. Micas do not provide solid color; instead, they add light-reflecting sparkle and sheen to your formulations. It is insoluble in both water and oils and should be evenly suspended in your formulation to ensure consistent, reliable shimmer.

How to Use:

• Check Consistency and Effect: Adjust the amount of mica or blend with other pigments to reach the desired level of shimmer. For a subtle effect, use less; for a more pronounced satin finish, use more mica. Slowly add the mica into your melted base while stirring continuously. Ensure the base is warm enough to allow smooth mixing but not too hot to degrade heat-sensitive ingredients.

• Mix Thoroughly: Make sure the mica is evenly suspended throughout the base. Any clumps or streaks can be smoothed out by shearing or high-speed mixing.
