Description

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is an advanced cosmetic peptide widely used in anti-ageing skincare formulations. It is designed to help reduce the appearance of expression lines and fine wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movements, promoting smoother and younger-looking skin.

This peptide is commonly incorporated into facial serums, creams, eye creams and gel formulations and works well alongside other cosmetic actives such as Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, Copper Tripeptide-1 and Matrixyl® peptides.

Cosmetic Benefits

  • Helps reduce the appearance of expression lines and fine wrinkles.
  • Promotes smoother, younger-looking skin.
  • Improves the appearance of skin texture.
  • Suitable for forehead lines, crow’s feet and frown lines.
  • Ideal for anti-ageing serums, creams, eye creams and facial gels.

Product Information

INCI Name: Acetyl Hexapeptide-8

Appearance: White to off-white powder

Solubility: Water soluble

Recommended Formulation pH: 4.5–7.0

Formulation Stage: Add during the cool-down phase below 40°C.

Package Contents

Each pack contains:

  • 1 × 10 mg Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 powder
  • 1 × 3 ml cosmetic solvent

The peptide is supplied as a dry powder to maximise stability during storage. A separate cosmetic solvent is included so you can prepare a stock solution at the concentration that best suits your formulation.

Preparing Your Stock Solution

Add the desired amount of the supplied solvent to the peptide vial and swirl gently until the powder has completely dissolved.

The amount of solvent added determines the concentration of the stock solution.

Solvent Added Peptide Concentration
1.0 ml 1.00% (10 mg/ml)
1.5 ml 0.67% (6.67 mg/ml)
2.0 ml 0.50% (5 mg/ml)
2.5 ml 0.40% (4 mg/ml)
3.0 ml 0.33% (3.33 mg/ml)

Which concentration should I choose?

  • 1 ml (1%) – Ideal for formulators who prefer simple calculations and a more concentrated stock solution.
  • 2 ml (0.5%) – A balanced concentration suitable for most formulations.
  • 3 ml (0.33%) – Produces a more dilute stock solution for applications requiring lower peptide concentrations.

Recommended Cosmetic Use Level

Typical use level in finished cosmetic formulations:

  • 0.01–0.05% – Daily maintenance products.
  • 0.05–0.10% – Standard anti-ageing serums and creams.
  • 0.10–0.30% – Intensive anti-ageing formulations.
  • Maximum recommended: 0.50%.
